HOLLYWOOD, CA - Muslim News Magazine TV will telecast the award-winning documentary "A Legacy of Education: The History of Clara Muhammad Schools" as part of it's month long tribute to African-American history. The program will premiere on Saturday, February 1 and kick-off the networks Black History Month celebration.

This powerful film is the most comprehensive documentary ever produced on the history of Sister Clara Muhammad Schools and the University of Islam. It traces the 80-year history of this iconic educational institution with rare photo and video footage from the earliest years of Muslim education in America.

The program provides a stunning look at the past, present, and future of Islamic education in the United States America. It features interviews and comments from from SCMS prinicipals, teachers, alumni, students, and some of America’s most noteworthy Islamic scholars.

During the month, MNM will also air several other documentaries that focus on African-American history including "Unsung Heroes of Soul: The Philly Sound", "From Africa to the White House" and "The Legacy of Imam W. Deen Mohammed".

"We believe African-American History and Islam are uniquely intertwined in our nation," stated Samir Muqaddin, Director of Marketing for Muslim News Magazine TV. "Black History Month provides an opportunity to show our viewing audience the significance and history of that relationship".
